How many years can I finance my dental care?
The offered terms start from 6 months to up to 10 years, depending on the financed amount.
What interest rates does the financial institutions offer?
Institutions offer fixed and variable rate loans. As the rates are subject to change without notice, we suggest that you communicate directly with us.
Can I repay my loan at any given time?
Yes, it is an open loan, repayable at any time, in part or in totality, without penalty.
Do all dental health professionals offer this program?
No.
What happens if my dental health professional is not a partner of the DentoPlan program?
Simply let us know. We will communicate with your dental health professional to inform them of our services and invite them to become one of our partners.
To join the DentoPlan program, do I need to go to the financial institution?
No, everything is done at the dental clinic. All you have to do is sign a form and we will contact you by phone to process your credit information. The decision of the institution will be transmitted within 24 hours.
Do I need to open an account at the financial institution?
No. You can provide us a void cheque from your institution for automatic debits.
Can I borrow the full amount of the treatment cost?
Yes.
Can I use the health loan even if I have dental insurance?
Yes. The institution can approve the total amount. As soon as you receive the refund from your insurance, you can apply it to the loan or you can simply get a loan for the amount that is not covered by your insurance.
I will be needing treatment from two different dental health professional. Can I combine both amounts?
No. However, you can get two loans, one at each of the professionals involved.
What do I need to be eligible to submit a request for a health loan?
- Be 18 years of age or over (with at least 2 years of credit history)
- Be 73 years old or less (IF Xpress)
- Own a credit card (in some cases, for at least 2 years) or another form of credit such as a mortgage or car financing
- Be a permanent resident (# social security number must not start with 9)
- Bankruptcy and consumer proposal must be completed for 3 years (credit must be redone)
- Be employed or self employed
- Employed revenue
- Retirement pension
- Disability income or CNESST
- Maternity leave income
- Employment insurance income (for seasonal workers only)
